Radiography
Brainerd Hills Veterinary Hospital prides itself on accuracy, efficiency and most of all compassionate care for all animals of all sizes. One service that is utilized by our doctors and staff is Radiography. Radiography is most commonly known as x-ray technology. An x-ray is a picture of internal organs, bones and all the ligaments and tendons that hold everything together in our bodies. X-ray is very useful when treating animals because they cannot tell us what hurts or how long they have been hurting. Some diagnoses that can come from x-ray are: broken bones, internal bleeding, organ size, foreign object placement and even cancer identification.
X-rays do utilize radiation in order to be successful, so our staff will only use x-ray appropriately on your pet to avoid overexposure. If you would like to learn more about how Brainerd Hills Veterinary Hospital uses x-rays feel free to ask at your appointment.
